Lecture entitled (A comparative study between the process of coagulation-flocculation and electrocoagulation of accompanying water)
Within the activities of the cultural season of the Environmental Research Center, assistant lecturer Israa Radi Abbas gave a lecture entitled (A comparative study between the process of coagulation-flocculation and electrocoagulation of accompanying water)
She explained in her lecture that the main goal of this study was to make a comparison between the chemical precipitation technique and the electrostatic precipitation technique in removing suspended materials and the oil content of the accompanying water. Iron chloride and polyaluminium chloride were used as coagulants, as well as polyelectrolytes and spagul sheets as coagulation aids, and the best results were in reducing turbidity. When iron chloride was combined with polyelectrolyte, as for the oil content, combining polyaluminum chloride with the aspagul herb showed the best results. As for electrical deposition, the effect of electric current and the distance between the electrodes was studied. A comparison was made between the two methods. It was noted that the traditional method is relatively more efficient in reducing from the turbidity of the accompanying water.

Lecture entitled (Study of krillin, phesfatin, hepcidin and ferritin for obese women)
Within the activities of the cultural season of the Environmental Research Center, assistant lecturer Ahmed Haider Sadiq gave a Lecture entitled (Study of krillin, phesfatin, hepcidin and ferritin for obese women). In his lecture, he explained the definition of obesity, which is a medical disorder in which excessive growth of fat accumulates throughout the body to the point that it may Have a harmful effect on health. Obesity is linked to the development of many diseases such as insulin resistance, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and various types of cancer.
This study was designed to determine the relationship of obesity with ghrelin, visfatin, hepcidin, and ferritin in a sample of women who visit the Al-Kindi Obesity Center.
Eighty obese females aged between (18-65 years) with a body mass index greater than 30 kg/m2 participated in this study, half of whom were diagnosed with high blood pressure, and the other half were healthy (do not suffer from a medical condition), and forty Female as control group (healthy people).

Lecture entitled (Practical methods for improving the bearing capacity of soil for applied loads)
Within the activities of the cultural season of the Environmental Research Center, assistant lecturer abd alazeez Ahmed Hamad agave a lecture entitled (Practical methods for improving the bearing capacity of soil for applied loads). In his lecture, he addressed a simplified explanation of the loads imposed on the soil, clarifying the most important physical techniques to increase its bearing capacity, and introducing the recipient to the most important modern methods used by adding Materials that help increase endurance and study all appropriate conclusions and proposals for the optimal use of the methods used in this field, along with presenting and explaining modern construction methods, types of foundations for buildings and methods of implementing them, as well as introducing the audience to the most important strengths and weaknesses in the foundation parts of buildings and the quality of the soil. Used or added to get rid of the problems causing weak foundations and choose the most appropriate type to avoid these problems and overcome obstacles, if any.
