Training Course in Dealing with Natural Radioactivity Samples 

 A staff of members of the Environmental Research Center (Dr. Zahra Zahraw Farhan - Asst Lec. Israa Radhi Abbas – Asst. Chief Physicist Basaad Hadi Jazaa) participated in the training course entitled "Calibration of the Sodium Iodide Scintillation Detectors", which was held at the University of Babylon / College of Science/ Department of Physics on 1/15/2025, the participants were trained on calibrating and using the thallium-activated sodium iodide detector system NaI (TI) as well as installing and using the MAESTRO program for the aforementioned device. The training included methods of dealing with radioactive samples, analysing, and calculating levels of natural radioactivity.
