Under the patronage of Prime Minister Engineer Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani and in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Supreme Council for Youth held its agricultural conference on the grounds of the Baghdad International Fair.
In order to ensure the direction of our university in general and our center in particular to achieve the goals of sustainable development, a number of the teaching staff and members of our center participated in a number of agricultural projects and innovations that aim to achieve the goals of sustainable agricultural development through the use of modern technologies in agriculture as well as new innovations in sustainable water management, which is considered a comprehensive approach. For water resources management, as for energy generation and environmental protection, there was research talking about the use of algae to generate energy and protect the environment.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Union of Arab Universities exhibition was held at the University of Baghdad for the period from March 3-6, 2024. The exhibition was opened by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, Professor Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi. The exhibition included a special pavilion for the University of Technology, where the most important scientific products of the university were displayed, under the direct supervision of Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Professor Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan,
and Dr. Zahraa Zahrao Farhan, a lecturer at our center, participated in the patent entitled “Treatment of oil waste in water using biological activity.”
