Food Pollution in Rice and Treatment Methods
Among the activities of the cultural season of our center .. Bassem Hashim Faraj organized a panel discussion on "Food Pollution in Rice and Treatment Methods" on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Blue Hall in the center. His lecture summarized the following:
Heavy elements enter the human body through the skin, respiratory system or through the digestive system through the food chain.
Rice is a major part of the Iraqi food meal, and there is scientific evidence that rice is highly polluted by heavy elements, especially arsenic, cadmium, lead in world markets. We must investigate and find solutions, where these heavy elements are responsible for various cancers and other diseases.
