Lecture entitled (A comparative study between the process of coagulation-flocculation and electrocoagulation of accompanying water)

Within the activities of the cultural season of the Environmental Research Center, assistant lecturer Israa Radi Abbas gave a lecture entitled (A comparative study between the process of coagulation-flocculation and electrocoagulation of accompanying water)
‏She explained in her lecture that the main goal of this study was to make a comparison between the chemical precipitation technique and the electrostatic precipitation technique in removing suspended materials and the oil content of the accompanying water. Iron chloride and polyaluminium chloride were used as coagulants, as well as polyelectrolytes and spagul sheets as coagulation aids, and the best results were in reducing turbidity. When iron chloride was combined with polyelectrolyte, as for the oil content, combining polyaluminum chloride with the aspagul herb showed the best results. As for electrical deposition, the effect of electric current and the distance between the electrodes was studied. A comparison was made between the two methods. It was noted that the traditional method is relatively more efficient in reducing from the turbidity of the accompanying water.

Lecture entitled (Integration activety of biological control agents Trichoderma harzianum and Pseudomonas fluorescens and chelating iron on controlling wilt disease in pepper)

Within the activities of the cultural season of the Environmental Research Center, Assistant Lecturer Ali Nasser Ali gave a lecture entitled (Integration activety of biological control agents Trichoderma harzianum and Pseudomonas fluorescens and chelating iron on controlling wilt disease in pepper)
In his lecture, he touched on how to isolate pathogens associated with wilt symptoms from pepper plants. He explained in his lecture that all the treatments used were effective in reducing the rate and severity of infection by the pathogenic isolate. Treatment with the three factors combined in the presence of the pathogen achieved the highest significant difference in reducing the rate and severity of infection. An increase in the fresh and dry weight of the root and vegetative systems was also recorded, in addition to an increase in the total chlorophyll content of the plant.
